1) The author is Sophie Kinsella. Sophie Kinsella is a former financial journalist and the author of many books. She lives in England. She has written "The Confessions of a Shopaholic" series, which is a total of 5 books and the first book was made into a movie. She has also written many other books for girls which would probably classified as "girly".
3) The setting is the busiest place is one of the busiest places in New York. I am certain that, this is a modern story somewhere between 2005-present day. The atmosphere is busy, but fun. Hectic but entertaining. Either way some people like the hustle and bustle but some people don't. But you can except to see a lot of celebrities, food and of course the famous yellow cabs.
4) I'm picking the protangonist- Rebecca Brandon. The two qualities she has are being a dreamer and being addictive (to stores). There's when line that she says that I love it describes that she is in some magical place where everything is perfect(so she's a dreamer!). When I was 7 most of my friends stopped believing in magic. That's when I first started. They were beautiful, they were happy. They didn't even need any money, they had magic cards! The other one that she's addictive to stores, in fact she loves them more than people(obviously, she's a shopahlic!). You know that thing when you see someone cute and he smiles and your heart kind of goes like warm butter sliding down hot toast? Well that's what it's like when I see a store. Only it's better. A man will never love you or treat you as well as a store. If a man doesn't fit, you can't exchange him seven days later for a gorgeous cashmere sweater. And a store always smells good. A store can awaken a lust for things you never even knew you needed. And when your fingers first grasp those shiny, new bags... oh yes... oh yes.
5) I love this book! Well not nessecarily just this book but the series if u like chick lit comedy it's pretty funny! The book is hard to put down because the authors style of writing, she always keeps you hanging. I'm not trying to ruin the stories for anyone who hasn't read them but there's always a guaranteed happy ending!
oh hey (:
